California Healthy Kids Survey
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is a service provided by the California Department of Education to assist districts and county offices in collecting information on the health risks and resilience of their students. Students are surveyed a minimum of every two years in grades 5, 7, 9 and 11. The findings relate to safety, physical health, substance use, violence and risk behaviors. The results are available by accessing the two documents; Our Children, Our Future and the CHKS 2008 Survey Result Summary (see links). Results are also available online.
