Current Employment Opportunities in Napa County Schools: Many school employment opportunities are posted at each district office: Calistoga Unified School District, Howell Mountain School District, Napa Valley Unified School District, Pope Valley Union School District, St. Helena Unified School District, and the Napa County Office of Education. They also post them on Ed-Join, which is a statewide education job opportunities information network.
Online Teacher Certification Program: California State University has developed a new alternative to obtaining a Multiple Subject/CLAD teaching credential, which doesn't require attendance at regular university classes. The program called Cal State TEACH, combines 18 months of self-study, online support, and personal coaching to integrate the theory and practice of teaching with daily classroom experiences. It is designed for candidates, who are currently teaching in a multiple subject classroom in which the core curriculum (language arts, social studies, math, and science) is taught to all students. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, CBEST, and two letters of recommendation. You can find out more by calling their toll-free number, 1 877-225-7828 or visiting the Cal State TEACH website at: http://www.calstateteach.net/
