The Napa County Office of Education will review posts to our social media platforms in order to determine if they comply with our policies, as well as other applicable laws or regulations. Nonconforming posts will be removed without advance notice and, in appropriate circumstances, contributors may be barred from making future postings to our websites and social media sites. All content on NCOE social media platforms are subject to the California Public Records Act.
Official NCOE social media platforms may not contain content that is obscene, libelous, or so incites students as to create a clear and present danger of the commission of unlawful acts on school premises, violation of school rules, or substantial disruption of the school’s orderly operation.
Posts that are not related to the stated purpose of the site, including, but not limited to, comments of a commercial nature, political activity, and comments that constitute discrimination or harassment.
NCOE operates social media accounts with the expectation that users will communicate in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. Users are personally responsible for the content of their posts and NCOE is not responsible for the content of external online platforms. The views and comments expressed on the site are those of the users and do not necessarily reflect the views of the NCOE. Any user’s reference to a specific commercial product or service does not imply recommendation of that product or service by NCOE.
