The Early Learning Services Department directs grant funding and initiatives that uplift and strengthen the early learning and care workforce. We partner closely with early learning programs and educators to enhance quality, expand access, and support the dedicated professionals who serve young children and their families.
Our work includes:
- Workforce Support: Administering stipend and reimbursement programs that recognize, honor, and invest in early educators.
- Professional Learning: Providing access to high-quality professional learning opportunities, resources, and tools that support ongoing growth and reflective practice.
- Quality Improvement: Coordinating countywide efforts, including the Quality Counts Napa County, and participating in regional and state initiatives to improve learning environments and child outcomes.
- Inclusive Education: Leading the Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program (IEEEP) grant to help programs create welcoming, developmentally appropriate, and accessible environments for all children.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with partners such as Child Start, Inc. through the innovative Grow Our Own program to strengthen pathways and supports across the early learning ecosystem.
Together, these efforts help build a strong, inclusive, and high-quality early learning system for every child in Napa County.
