Fernando Cardenas (he/him) is a Program Coordinator for the AmeriCorps VIP Program. His main focus is to provide meaningful support to the members of the program. In addition, he also coordinates a virtual cohort for the VIP program statewide. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and was raised in Seaside, CA. He moved to Sonoma County and obtained a B.A in Political Science and Spanish. Fernando has always been passionate about service and since graduating has been working in the nonprofit sector. Fernando spends most of his time watching soccer (football), hiking, and being outdoors with his dogs. As part of the NCOE team, he hopes to provide excellent service and continue to uplift others as they look to the future!
