Why Choose N2N?
As an N2N AmeriCorps Fellow, you will serve for 11 months at a nonprofit or local government agency (Host Site), where you will build volunteer infrastructure and strengthen community engagement. Your service will help develop resilient neighborhoods equipped to face challenges such as social isolation, climate change, and disasters.

“The focus area of my Neighbor-to-Neighbor AmeriCorps assignment that I am the most excited to be working on is within the scope of Organizational Capacity Building and Neighborhood Engagement. This has given me the chance to weigh in on new initiatives and missions, organize structural aspects of operations in the new office space, and collaborate with focus groups and survey respondents to guide our organization. It is an exciting and dynamic process, in which I get to feel that my efforts help my site increase and improve organizational capacity.” — N2N Member

Strengthen your community. Empower your neighbors. Build lasting impact.
Are you a nonprofit or local government agency committed to creating stronger, more resilient neighborhoods? The AmeriCorps Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) Service Corps, launched in 2024 and managed by the Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) in partnership with California Volunteers, connects organizations with dedicated AmeriCorps Fellows to strengthen neighborhood frameworks, expand volunteer infrastructure, and enhance community engagement.
The N2N program was created to reduce social isolation and build thriving, connected neighborhoods. By becoming a Host Site, your organization will gain capacity to expand outreach efforts, deepen community relationships, and create stronger volunteer systems. N2N Fellows help foster neighborhood connections, promote volunteer participation, and respond to challenges such as social isolation, climate change, and natural disasters.
