Strategic partnerships are essential to strengthening the early learning ecosystem and expanding opportunities for educators, children, and families. We collaborate with organizations such as Child Start, Inc. through the innovative Grow Our Own program, a cohort-style model that provides clear pathways into the early childhood workforce. Key features of the program include:
- Cohort model: Participants move through all classes together, fostering peer support and community.
- One class per semester: Designed for manageable, focused learning.
- Foundational coursework: Covers the first 12 units of early education, including:
- Child Development
- Child, Family, and Community
- Principles and Practices
- Infant and Toddler Development
- Employment pathways: After completing 12 units, participants can explore opportunities in California State Preschool Programs or Head Start/Early Head Start.
- Ongoing support: Partnerships provide professional learning, resource sharing, and connections to community and statewide initiatives.
Through these collaborations, we help create a coordinated, inclusive, and high-quality early learning system that supports the success of every child and educator in our community.
