Chris Meza is the Program Coordinator of the AmeriCorps Expanded Learning (EXL) Program, supporting members in Napa and Sonoma Counties. Chris was born and raised in Napa, California. Chris later graduated from Western Oregon University with a BA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He then served with the AmeriCorps EXL program as an AmeriCorps Team Leader at Shearer Elementary from 2012-2013, and as the AmeriCorps EXL Content Leader from 2013-2014. Chris’ AmeriCorps service in the AmeriCorps EXL program led him to join the Napa County Office of Education‘s COOL School Napa Valley Afterschool program in 2014, where he served as a Site Supervisor for 7 years. To this day, Chris has always found importance in improving the quality of life for all families through youth empowerment, community service, volunteerism and educational programming. Chris currently lives in Napa, CA with his family who loves to find their newest favorite restaurant and go on spontaneous weekend trips.
